Pete Johnston is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist in the Seattle area. He grew up listening to all kinds of music, from classical to folk to rock, and later studied Jazz at Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts to graduate with a music degree in 1994. He has performed in several bands over the years, performed live countless times, and done numerous recording sessions.
He has been recording and producing music for many years as well and has been involved in home recording since before there were cassette 4 tracks. He is owner of Omega Sound Productions, a 16 track analog + DAW recording studio, and records his own music as well as works for hire for other projects.
Currently very active in the Seattle area, Pete and his wife Lizzy Daymont (bassist/guitarist) are busy performing with a diverse set of bands. They are members of the prog-rock band Yogi and Half Zaftig, and play blues with the Steve Power Band. Pete is also the touring drummer for the metal band Charlie Drown.
Current musical influences and inspirations which fuel Pete's drumming ideas and style include Marillion, Tori Amos, Tool, Peter Gabriel, Yes, David Bowie, Alanis Morrisette, and all kinds of dance/techno music.
